Vietnamese and Lao youth study and follow President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane

On the afternoon of May 17, under the chairmanship of comrades: Bui Quang Huy - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association and A Lun Xay Sun Na Lat - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union to organize a discussion with the theme "Vietnamese and Lao youth study and follow the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane".

Also attending were about 200 Vietnamese and Lao youth delegates attending the 2019 youth friendship meeting between the two countries, representatives of a number of departments, branches and a large number of students from Vinh University.

Forum for Vietnamese and Lao youth to share and exchange experiences

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Hai Minh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the International Department of the Central Youth Union affirmed that the seminar is one of the activities to contribute to educating the youth of the two countries about the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. Thereby, enhancing exchanges and mutual understanding between the Youth Union and the youth of the two countries; sharing and exchanging experiences in organizing the implementation of studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane among the union members and youth of the two countries.

The purpose of the seminar is to orient Vietnamese and Lao youth to learn from the shining revolutionary moral example of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane who sacrificed their whole lives for the cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the nation, for the happiness of the people; to learn from the lifestyle, fighting spirit, working spirit and the process of continuous learning; to learn from the ideology, morality and style of the two leaders on the spirit of international solidarity, to build a close and intimate relationship between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos.

At the seminar, the delegates listened to a number of presentations by outstanding young people from Vietnam and Laos, such as: the presentation "Youth of President Ho Chi Minh's homeland studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings" by comrade Nguyen Thi Minh - Secretary of Nam Dan District Youth Union; "Some creative models of youth in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" by comrade Phan Thi Quynh Trang - President of Vinh University Student Association; the presentation "Studying and following President Kaysone Phomvihane" by comrade Kongta Phosalad - Deputy Secretary of Attapeu Provincial Youth Union...

At the seminar, there were many valuable and meaningful exchanges of opinions between delegates and members of the Youth Union and youth of Vietnam and Laos in studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane. In addition, the opinions also suggested creative models for the youth of the two countries to exchange and learn from each other's experiences, approach and apply in practice.

Speaking at the seminar, comrade A Lun Xay Sun Na Lat - Alternate Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union affirmed that the seminar is a necessary professional activity, thereby helping to see more clearly the great values ​​of the thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane in the revolutionary activities as well as building friendship and solidarity between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and Laos.

He believes that the youth of the two countries will increasingly be worthy of the trust and expectations of the two leaders, the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples, and will foster the Vietnam - Laos relationship to be forever green and everlasting.

Concluding the discussion, comrade Bui Quang Huy - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association also emphasized that the thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane still retain their theoretical value and practical vitality.

Therefore, mobilizing the young generation to study and research the leaders' thoughts into practical work is an extremely necessary and regular task, contributing to raising the awareness and responsibility of cadres, union members and youth in absorbing and comprehending the great values ​​in the thoughts, ethics and styles of President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane; creating a change in the awareness of self-cultivation and training of cadres, union members and youth in studying and following.
