The magazine notes that the Russian missile and naval forces deployed in the region are a factor that significantly narrows the area of operations of the US and European armies. The biggest threat is posed by the "Iskander-M" missile complexes, which are capable of delivering precision strikes on naval facilities in Poland and the Baltic States. The National Interest adds that NATO is currently incapable of confronting the Russian army.
In addition to land-based missiles, Russia can also use the Air Force - Space Force, cruise missiles X-55 and X-101, the number of which NI admits there is no reliable data, but emphasizes that this weapon is capable of reaching any target in Poland.

In addition, a significant contingent of the Russian fleet is deployed in Kaliningrad, including small gunboats of project 21630 with vertical launch complexes 3R-14 UKSK with 8 "Kalibr" missiles. This has proven its effectiveness in the anti-terrorist campaign in Syria. These ships, as well as two submarines of project 877, have increased the power of Russia's preemptive strike against the aggressor.
NI magazine also announced a series of other warships that will participate in sea defense, anti-submarine and air defense.
In conclusion, NI writes that the NATO countries surrounding Kaliningrad no longer stand a chance against the Russian troops deployed in this area, and in the event of war, the balance of forces in the Baltic Sea region is clearly tilted in Russia's favor.
