Vinh City: 429 billion VND invested in suburban traffic

(Baonghean.vn) - After 5 years of building a new rural area, Vinh city has focused on building many traffic works in 9 suburban communes to serve the development of people's economy with a total investment of 429.2 billion VND.

Of which, the central budget is 10.4 billion, the city budget is 100.1 billion, the commune budget is 132 billion and the people contribute 164 billion VND.

The city has built 121 km of communal and inter-communal roads, 171 km of hamlet roads, 169.7 km of alley roads and 69 km of main intra-field roads.

Some communes have built many kilometers of concrete roads such as: Nghi Lien 84.4/total 87 km; Nghi An 58/60 km; Nghi Duc 76/80.3 km; Hung Hoa 49/51 km; Hung Loc 62.3/62.3 km...

A representative of the Department of Transport said: The traffic system in suburban communes in Vinh city has a higher level of solidification than in districts, most of it is asphalted and concreted, and the signs on the roads are quite uniform.

Up to now, the traffic criteria of suburban communes have met the NTM standards.
