Vinh City honors 65 exemplary grassroots union officials

Attending the program were representatives of the Provincial Labor Federation; Vinh City Party Committee, People's Committee; departments, branches, political and social organizations of the city, along with the team of grassroots union chairmen, typical grassroots union officials of Vinh City Labor Union.

At the ceremony, reviewing the history of the establishment and glorious tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union, Mr. Thai Le Cuong - Chairman of the Vinh City Labor Federation summarized the struggle and emulation movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and the Nghe An Provincial Trade Union in general and the Vinh City Trade Union in particular.

To welcome95 yearsSince the establishment of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, all levels of Vinh city's trade unions have strived to compete and organize many exciting, diverse, rich and meaningful activities, bringing many practical benefits to union members and workers.

In particular, promoting propaganda about the glorious tradition of 95 years of the Vietnam Trade Union and the Vietnamese working class; studying, learning, thoroughly grasping, propagating and disseminating the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and the Resolution of the Congress of Trade Unions at all levels for the 2023-2028 term. Attention is paid to the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots unions and introducing outstanding union members to the Party.

Vinh City Labor Federation also organized a competition for excellent grassroots union officials; visited, gave gifts, and helped union officials, former union officials, union members, and workers in difficult circumstances, who had work-related accidents or occupational diseases; started construction and presented “Union Shelter” houses, organized “Union Meals”; organized exciting cultural, artistic, physical education, and sports exchange activities, etc.

The Chairman of the Vinh City Labor Federation affirmed that the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union is an opportunity for cadres, union members, workers and the people of the heroic Red City to review and promote the glorious tradition of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union; strive to compete and be determined to successfully implement the goals and targets set by the 24th City Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

At the ceremony, the Vinh City Labor Federation awarded the Medal for the Cause of Building Trade Union Organizations to 7 individuals; launched 10 grassroots trade unions and commended 65 exemplary grassroots trade union officials./.
