Vinh City mobilizes 700 police officers to prevent crime and firecrackers during Tet

On the morning of February 9, Vinh City People's Committee held a ceremony to launch a peak period of fighting against crime, preventing fireworks, and ensuring security and order during the 2018 Lunar New Year.

It is forecasted that the crime and firecracker situation during the Mau Tuat New Year will have many complicated developments, so Vinh City has directed functional forces and local authorities to establish local teams, increase patrols and control to prevent complications that cause disorder and insecurity. Strengthen propaganda for people to raise their vigilance, prevent and actively fight against all types of crimes and firecrackers.

The People's Committee of Vinh City assigned the police force to focus on strongly suppressing all types of crimes and social evils, especially particularly dangerous crimes such as murder, debt collection, intentional injury, robbery, property theft, etc.

At the same time, mobilize maximum militia, civil defense force, and police of communes to coordinate to ensure traffic safety and urban order.

In addition, the authorities need to strictly handle cases of picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations, weaving, weaving, etc. Set up checkpoints, blockade areas where fireworks are set off to catch and strictly handle cases of setting off fireworks, especially on New Year's Eve.

It is known that in the fight against the buying and selling and transporting of fireworks during the 2018 Lunar New Year, Vinh City Police arrested 52 cases and seized 1.2 tons of various types of fireworks.
