Vinh city will have another big intersection
(Baonghean.vn) - The completion of the clearance of Quan Bau intersection to construct Vinh - Hung Tay road is an important milestone of the city, which will create a new large intersection here between the 72m road and National Highway 1A.
The 72m Vinh - Hung Tay route belongs to the Project for Development of Medium-sized Cities in Vietnam - Vinh Urban Development Sub-project, invested by ODA capital. Recently, the site clearance for the construction of this route has been blocked by 11 households in the Quan Bau intersection area.
These households requested compensation levels exceeding the prescribed price range. However, after efforts to mobilize, propagate, and listen to the opinions and wishes of the households, the Vinh City People's Committee has completed the site clearance of this important bottleneck, ensuring the interests of the people and speeding up the construction progress of the Vinh - Hung Tay road. Previously, many agencies and enterprises here had also relocated to new locations.

The city also completed resettlement areas, giving people the flexibility to choose a new, suitable place to live.Up to now, all 11 households mentioned above have been relocated, of which 10 households are handing over the site, the last household has received compensation and committed to handing over the site before April 30, 2018.

Mr. Ha Thanh Tinh - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said: "The completion of the site clearance work at the Quan Bau intersection has helped the city to remove the last obstacle of this route in particular and the Vinh Urban Development Sub-project in general, speeding up the construction progress of this important route and ensuring favorable conditions for the operation of VSIP Industrial Park".
Up to now, the total ODA disbursed capital of Vinh City Sub-project is 71.13 million USD (reaching 82.7% of the total current project capital). Ensuring progress will build prestige and trust with international organizations and facilitate future projects.
