Palestinian ambassador's family members asked to leave US
The head of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) diplomatic mission, Husam Zomlot, said that US authorities have asked his family to leave the country.
Earlier, the US government announced the termination of the activities of the Palestine Liberation Organization representative after explaining its actions as due to the Palestinians' refusal to participate in the peace initiatives of US President Donald Trump, and at the same time intending to sue Israel at the International Criminal Court.
"My family was surprised by the request from the US government on Sunday to leave the country. My family and my children were asked to leave immediately," Mr. Zomlot said.
The diplomat added that the US government has closed the private bank accounts and the account of the PLO office in Washington.
