Natural herbal remedies for asthma
When suffering from asthma, using a combination of natural herbs can help reduce the amount of Western medicine taken into the body, limiting the unwanted side effects of medication.
In the treatment of asthma, bronchodilators are often used in combination with inhaled corticosteroids. However, inhaled corticosteroids are still limited in children due to the risk of growth retardation, adrenal suppression, or osteoporosis. Below are some natural herbs that have been shown to be quite effective in preventing and treating asthma.
Stop asthma attacks = orange peel

Israeli scientists have discovered that limonene (found in the scent of orange peels and other citrus fruits) has the ability to scavenge ozone (an air pollutant that can cause asthma) in the respiratory tract. Additionally, the scents from pine trees, maple trees, and roses also contain substances that have a similar effect to limonene in "burning" ozone in the respiratory system.
Ginger is not just for preventing nausea.

It also contains expectorant and anti-inflammatory properties that help suppress the overreaction of the immune system in asthma. A study conducted on 92 asthma patients in Iran showed that patients used 150mg of ginger powder three times a day for two months. After two months of use, ginger significantly improved asthma symptoms such as wheezing and chest tightness (wheezing decreased by 19.5% and chest tightness decreased by 52%).
Pregnant women should make apples their friends.

A study by Dutch and Scottish scientists on 1,253 pregnant mothers concluded that eating apples during pregnancy helps reduce the risk of asthma and related symptoms in the fetus.
The vitamins in apples, such as vitamins A, E, D, and zinc, not only help pregnant women maintain a healthy diet but also reduce the risk of asthma in their children later in life.
The flavonoids in apples are very effective in preventing asthma in children. Mothers who eat four apples a week can reduce the risk of their children developing asthma by up to 50%.
