(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 29th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a dialogue with exemplary farm owners in the area. Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presided over the meeting. Representatives from the Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environment, and Science & Technology sectors, along with over 100 exemplary farm owners, also attended.

It is estimated that by 2014, there were 500 farms in the area meeting the new standards, utilizing 17,900 hectares of land, averaging 6.47 hectares per farm. In 2013, only 420 farms meeting the new criteria produced goods worth nearly 904 billion VND. In 2014, the 500 farms meeting the new criteria created jobs for over 3,000 workers, with an average income of 3-3.5 million VND per month. Many farm owners have supplied the market with large quantities of goods: Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien's farm (Hung Nguyen) supplies the market with more than one million chicken eggs annually, Mr. Phan Dinh Lam's farm in Thanh Chuong produces more than 100 tons of fresh tea leaves each year, and Mr. Hoang Van Son's farm sells more than 256 tons of pork annually... Besides the achievements, the farm development movement is facing some difficulties that need to be addressed regarding land, bank loans, and product markets...

During the dialogue, 12 farm owners expressed their opinions on the aforementioned difficulties, requesting that relevant authorities and the Provincial People's Committee provide solutions. At the dialogue, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong requested that relevant agencies such as the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Department of Science and Technology… answer the farmers' questions and provide guidance on resolving the difficulties…
Concluding the dialogue, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the achievements of the movement in the past period and requested relevant agencies to expedite land planning, land allocation, and land management. He also urged the completion of procedures for issuing land use right certificates. Commercial banks should diversify their capital sources to meet the funding needs of farm owners.
