Discussing the organization of the National Assembly

On the morning of June 16, starting the 5th working week, 7th session, under the direction of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Law on Organization of the National Assembly (amended).

After being received and revised according to the opinions and suggestions of the delegates in the group, the bill will continue to be discussed, clarifying the theoretical and practical issues on the major contents. First of all, the scope of regulation, the codification of some regulations, main activities in the Session Regulations, the Regulations of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly Committees.

National Assembly deputies also focused on reviewing organizational issues, including the positions and related issues of National Assembly delegations, the Ethnic Council, and National Assembly Committees, the policy of upgrading the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to National Assembly Committees, and some National Assembly positions.

In particular, the discussion session will focus on Chapter II of the draft on National Assembly deputies - the content considered the center of the Law with regulations on the number of full-time deputies, mechanisms, and conditions to ensure the activities of National Assembly deputies.

Also on today's working day, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.

In addition, the draft Law on Social Insurance (amended) was also discussed by National Assembly deputies.
