Lighting up the stage on 'ancestor's death anniversary'
(Baonghean.vn) - The ceremony took place in a warm and sincere atmosphere, with excerpts from cheo, cai luong, and folk opera of Nghe An by artists from different periods.
On the morning of September 10, the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage held a ceremony to celebrate the 74th anniversary of Vietnam's revolutionary theater and the 60th anniversary of Nghe An theater. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Department of Culture and Sports, actors and artists of Nghe An art troupes.

Implementing the conclusion of the Secretariat and the Decision of the Prime Minister in 2011, the 12th day of the 8th lunar month every year is chosen as Vietnam Theater Day. This is an occasion to honor the theater industry in general and the Nghe Tinh Theater Artists Association in particular.
Over the years, traditional theater in general and Nghe An theater in particular have contributed to fostering the nation's patriotism and indomitable will, promoting the qualities of loyalty and filial piety, preserving traditional customs and promoting humanistic values, contributing to bringing Vietnamese culture in general and Nghe An culture on par with other developed cultures of humanity; especially the event of Nghe Tinh Vi Giam folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

At the ceremony, People's Artist Hong Luu summarized 60 years of Nghe Tinh Stage, reviewed memorable milestones of Nghe An art troupes; and expressed gratitude to artists who have contributed to the province's professional art scene.
The ceremony is also an opportunity for veteran artists, people's artists, meritorious artists and Nghe An stage artists to gather, review and further ignite the flame of artistic creativity of Vietnamese stage.

At the ceremony, there were many performances, excerpts from cheo, cai luong, and folk opera of Nghe An performed by artists of different periods. Many artists are at a rare age but still passionate about performing and dedicating themselves to the audience, touching many generations of actors.
