The inevitable failure of a reactionary ideology.

(Baonghean.vn) -Today, May 9th, humanity commemorates the 68th anniversary of the victory over fascism. At 10:43 PM on May 8th, 1945, Berlin time, or 0:43 AM on May 9th, Moscow time, at a former military school in Karlshorst near Berlin, in the presence of representatives of the Allied powers, the plenipotentiary representatives of Nazi Germany signed the document confirming their unconditional surrender; effectively ending the most bizarre ideology of humankind: fascism!

There has been much debate among scholars about the nature of fascism. In fact, fascism in Italy, where it originated, differed from that in Germany, Japan, Spain, and other places. Similarly, the emerging fascist movements in Europe today, considering economic aspects, methods of seizing power, programs, ideology, and models of government, all share a commonality: they are linked to nationalism. The Vietnamese 8th-grade history textbook states that fascism is a form of capitalist dictatorship, the most reactionary and belligerent imperialist force, advocating the elimination of all fundamental human freedoms, terrorizing and brutally oppressing the people, and waging wars of aggression to dominate the world.

Historical research into the formation of fascist ideology has shown that fascism emerged in the context of the economic crisis at the beginning of the 20th century, the defeat of several nations damaging national pride, the constant threat of revolutions due to deep social divisions, and the weakness of parliamentary democracies in the face of the international communist movement. War, a socio-political phenomenon, was used as the only escape route deliberately pursued by the fascists to achieve their goal of "world unification." The Soviet Red Army and the armies of the Allied countries, along with all of humanity, made strenuous efforts, shedding blood, money, and resources to fight against fascism. This was World War II, the most devastating war in human history.

According to Clausewitz, a renowned Prussian military theorist and historian of the 19th century, war, or military affairs, are a continuation of politics through different means. Therefore, the army—the primary instrument of violence established by the state for use in wars—is never outside of politics, nor is it "depoliticized" as currently prevalent views suggest. Clausewitz's famous scientific argument and the practical experience of World War II against fascism demonstrate that, with the fallacies of reactionary ideologies realized through a political system, war can very well erupt on a global scale. And to fight and defeat it, it cannot be a "depoliticized" army, an army supposedly only there to protect the homeland and its people...

The defeat of fascism also presented a once-in-a-thousand-years opportunity for the Vietnamese people, under the leadership of the Communist Party headed by Ho Chi Minh, to carry out a revolution to gain independence and freedom, and establish the first democratic state in the nation's history.

And, May 9th, Victory Day over fascism, has also been chosen by the United Nations General Assembly as the Day of Reconciliation and Remembrance since 2004. This year, the 68th anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp was celebrated in Austria with the participation of many heads of state. There, the Chairman of the Russian State Duma, Sergei Nasyskin, stated: “Currently, in some Eastern European countries, some forces are attempting to revive fascism; therefore, for the sake of millions of war victims, everyone must not remain silent and must not allow the revival of an ideology hostile to humanity.”

That's right, anything—political or military, ideology or belief, spiritual or material—that opposes humanity, that is hostile to humanity, will inevitably be destroyed!
