Ronaldo's classy finish. |
This is CR7's first goal after 6 consecutive "goalless" matches, and is the 9th goal of the Portuguese player in the Premier League 2021/22. This is also his 15th goal in all competitions for MU. This goal of CR7 has been nominated for the best goal of February in the Premier League.
This is Ronaldo's second goal, out of 9 goals scored in the Premier League since the beginning of the season, to be nominated for the best goal of the month award. Previously, Ronaldo's diagonal volley to open the scoring for MU in the away match against Tottenham in round 10, helping the "Red Devils" win 3-0, was nominated for the best goal award of October 2021.Since the goal of the month award was only introduced in the Premier League in the 2016/17 season, Ronaldo never had the chance to be honored during his early years at MU. Besides, only 4 MU players have won this award in the past.
