(Baonghean.vn) - For many years now, the rented room of Mr. Hoang Khac Tuan - Teacher at Que Phong High School has become a stopover for candidates during each exam season.

Teacher Hoang Khac Tuan's family has been welcoming candidates for more than half a month now. Among them, there are students who have been here since 10th grade. However, more than half are boarding students of Que Phong High School and students staying elsewhere.

In Mr. Tuan's neighborhood, there are currently many rooms for rent, but only his house allows students to stay for free.

Ha Thi Nhung from Na Hoc village, Nam Nhoong commune, Que Phong district, said: Through Facebook, we learned that Mr. Tuan allowed candidates to stay without paying, so we came here to ask him to stay. Even though it was "unexpected", he created all the conditions for us, the room was fully equipped with beds, fans, rice cookers...

As for Vi Van Son, from Mong 2 village, Cam Muon commune, he stayed at Mr. Tuan's house for 3 years of high school. When the 12th grade ended, Son did not return home but stayed until the exam day to take advantage of the time to review. The Thai student had good academic performance, was an advanced student and dreamed of passing the entrance exam to the Army Officers Academy 1. Seeing Son's will and determination, Mr. Tuan often came back to encourage and support him in his studies: "He helped me a lot, especially in English."

Graduated from the Foreign Language Pedagogy Department (Vinh University) in 2000, Mr. Tuan has been attached to Que Phong High School for 17 years now. The difficult time as a student, doing all kinds of jobs to earn money for school in the past has made him sympathetic and sympathetic to his students, especially those with difficult circumstances.

In addition to renting out houses, this teacher born in 1977 also works hard every day to go to the market, cook, and open a restaurant to serve his students. Many of them come from poor families, and he even provides food and accommodation for them throughout their 3 years of study.

Mr. Tuan also said that because the students here are all from poor households, they often cook their own meals. The teacher cooks food for them at a price of only a few thousand per meal. To save money, he takes advantage of the vacant land near his house and teachers and students grow vegetables. At mealtimes, students only need to buy extra salty food to have a nutritious meal.

Talking about the reason for opening free boarding houses for candidates, Mr. Tuan confided: "Previously, when the exam was near, many students dropped out of school because they didn't have money to travel or a place to stay. I myself also wanted to create a stable place for them to rest assured, try to stay and study hard to enter the exam well."
