Dressed in the costumes of village girls in the old days, 6 teachers from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted danced to the music of “Cay da quan doc”. The teachers’ swaying, hip-swinging, spinning, and dimple-making movements received a series of enthusiastic cheers and applause.

The cross-dressing performance by the teachers was the last performance in the cultural exchange program “Autumn of Love” to celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day, October 20, organized by Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted on the evening of October 19. The exchange program also had many special performances performed by the teachers of Phan School.

Teacher Le Van Kien, who came up with the idea for the viral performance on social media, shared that on the occasion of October 20, the teachers wanted to do something special for the teachers and students in the school, not just sing like previous years.

“To keep the performance a secret until the last minute, the teachers practiced together in 3 sessions, each session only lasting about 30 minutes,” said Mr. Kien. The teachers themselves did not expect their performance to receive such great love on social media.
