Teacher who wrote with his feet Nguyen Ngoc Ky passed away
At 2:00 a.m. on September 28, teacher Nguyen Ngoc Ky - the first teacher to write with his feet, passed away in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City), at the age of 75.
According to family information,Teacher Nguyen Ngoc Kypassed away at his home, after more than 29 years of fighting kidney failure. His funeral was held at his home in Phuoc Long B ward, Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh city from 8am this morning.
Teacher Nguyen Ngoc Ky, born in 1947, in Hai Hau district (Nam Dinh). At the age of 4, Ky became ill and both of his arms were paralyzed, but he still tried to overcome his fate, trained his legs to replace his hands and became an Excellent Teacher.
At the age of 7, Ky wandered to school, stood outside listening to the teacher's lecture, and watched his classmates. When he got home, he started practicing writing with his feet. At first, practicing writing with Ky was like torture. Gradually, Ky could write the letter O, the letter V... Ky could also draw pictures with a ruler and compass, and make bird cages to play with...

Thanks to his tireless efforts, in 1963, Ky was sent by Ha Nam Ninh province (now Nam Dinh) to participate in the national math competition for excellent students, ranked 5th and was awarded a badge by President Ho Chi Minh.
From 1966 to 1970, he studied Literature at Hanoi University. After graduating, he returned to his hometown to work as a teacher.
In 1992, he was awarded the title of Excellent Teacher.
A year later, Mr. Ky and his family moved to live and receive medical treatment in Ho Chi Minh City, and at the same time transferred to work at the Department of Education and Training of Go Vap District.
In addition, his life and writing process were included in textbooks by the Ministry of Education and Training as encouragement to have willpower, determination, and to believe in yourself and one day you will receive worthy results.
He was also invited to exchange, educate about life and foster the love of learning for many young generations throughout the country. He once set a Vietnamese record as "The first Vietnamese writer to write with his feet".
