Teacher writes letter of advice to students before passing the imperial examination
(Baonghean.vn) - "You must always be polite to the invigilator and communicate moderately with your classmates in the exam room. Do not show your ego in the exam room, which means do not show off by doing difficult questions first, and then be careless and lose points for easy questions..." - those are the words of advice that teacher Tu Duc Toan, Physics teacher, Nam Dan 2 High School, sent to students before the national high school exam.

Nghe An Newspaper would like to send this letter to the candidates:
Dear students!
So you are about to enter the most important exam of your school life. It is important because it is a turning point in your life, your future, your honor, the hope, pride, and expectation of your parents, teachers, and family members...
Let's put aside the vague emotions and feelings to be determined and turn dreams and ambitions into reality. The path of study ahead is still long, I hope you always try, don't stop, don't give up, don't neglect your studies so that later you will have to regret and repent...
There is only a little time left before you take the 2017 National High School Exam. I will just remind you of these important things to hope you get the best results:
1. Before the exam:
On the morning of June 21, study lightly and rest mainly. On the afternoon of June 21, after completing the exam procedures at the exam site, you should take a day off to relax and prepare all the necessary tools: personal computer, soft pencil, eraser, exam card, watch... Remember to absolutely not bring your phone or documents. Dress and have your hair neat to look good.
Sleep early on the night of June 21st and wake up early on the morning of June 22nd. During the exam days, I only ate the familiar menu and always remembered to eat cooked food and drink boiled water. Always keep a reserve (not afraid of leftovers) of high-dose stomach pain medicine on hand.
On the morning of June 22, arrive at the exam location 30 minutes before.
2. Entering the exam room:
Always be polite to the invigilator and communicate appropriately with your classmates in the exam room. Don't show off your ego in the exam room, which means not trying to do the difficult questions first, only to be careless and lose points on the easy questions.
When the supervisor hands out the answer sheet, fill it out immediately, carefully fill in the registration number and write down all the necessary items as required. If you do not understand anything, feel free to ask the supervisor. Remember to keep the sheet straight, not folded or crumpled because the machine is grading it, not the person grading it!
When the supervisor distributes the test, he must check the number of pages and the number of questions. When the test is complete, immediately fill in the test code. Remember that the combined subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or History, Geography, Civic Education) have the same test code. If you find a different test code, you must notify the supervisor to change the test immediately.
Calmly take the test and do it from question 1 right away, no need to read the whole test at once, always remember to do the easy questions first. If you can do the questions right after reading, do them right away and fill in the answer sheet right away, don't leave it until the end of the session. Remember to cross out the questions you have done on the test, avoid wasting time re-reading the test when you finish the remaining questions.
When time is almost up, carefully review your registration number and exam code. Before submitting your paper, remember to fill in all 40 questions (including those you cannot do).
40 questions to be done in 50 minutes, saving time is a very important factor. Remember not to leave early or early. If you still have time, review the questions you have done, think about the difficult questions so you don't regret it later.
I wish and believe we will succeed!
I look forward to hearing from you!

But the emotional moment of teacher Tu Duc Toan and his students. Photo: NVCC |
As soon as the teacher Tu Duc Toan posted his post on Facebook, he received many comments from students and colleagues. One student wrote: “What a great teacher”, “Oh, I am so proud of my teacher”, “A million likes, teacher”. Many parents and students also shared this post with candidates and considered it a useful guide before the exam.
Teacher Tu Duc Toan is currently the homeroom teacher of class 12C4 - a selective class at Nam Dan 2 High School and this year, 100% of his students registered for the university entrance exam.
Sharing his thoughts before writing these instructions, the teacher said: "These are all the things I often tell students in class. However, for many reasons, students often forget and are subjective. Through the above sharing, I want students to be calm before doing the test, not to worry too much even though this is the first time taking the combined subjects exam."
In previous exams, teacher Tu Duc Toan also shared many thoughts with students. Most recently, on June 12, he also shared on his personal page to help students evaluate the sample exam questions of the Ministry of Education and Training. Teacher Toan's sincere words really motivated and added confidence for students to try to do well on their exams.
