The Cong Viettel won their 4th consecutive match at Hang Day home stadium.
On the evening of September 28, at Hang Day Stadium, The Cong Viettel met Hong Linh Ha Tinh and continued to show impressive stability in V.League 2025/26.
The first half was quite tense as the away team defended disciplinedly, making it difficult for The Cong Viettel to find a way into the goal. In the second half, the game changed quickly. In the 50th minute, from an accurate cross from Dinh Viet Tu on the right wing, Lucao chose a reasonable landing point and finished to open the score for the home team.

In the 66th minute, Pedro Henrique doubled the gap by accelerating down the left wing before finishing delicately through the legs of goalkeeper Thanh Tung. Just a few minutes earlier, Pedro almost scored when his shot hit the post.
Despite their best efforts, Hong Linh Ha Tinh could not create many clear opportunities to turn the situation around. In the end, The Cong Viettel won 2-0, asserting their strength at home and extending their unbeaten streak, continuing to be strong in the V-League race.
This is the 4th consecutive win in all competitions for Coach Popov and his team at Hang Day Stadium, after the 3-0 win over Ho Chi Minh City Police, 2-0 win over Ho Chi Minh City Club (V-League) and 1-0 win over Hanoi FC in the National Cup.
The Cong Viettel currently has 11 points, ranked 4th on the rankings, 2 points behind the 3 leading teams (Ninh Binh, Hanoi Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police all have 13 points).
Next round, The Cong Viettel will continue to play at home at Hang Day Stadium to welcome Da Nang on October 20.
Malaysian Football Federation confirms errors in naturalization process
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) is waiting to receive the full verdict from the World Football Federation (FIFA) before filing an appeal in accordance with the correct procedures and regulations.
In a statement released on the evening of September 28, FAM admitted that there were technical errors in the naturalization application process carried out by the administrative department. However, the organization affirmed: "The naturalized players are all legal Malaysian citizens."
"FAM is taking the matter seriously. We would like to emphasize that the players in question are all Malaysians under the law," FAM Secretary General Datuk Noor Azman Hj Rahman stressed.

The FIFA penalty is shaking Malaysian football. 7 key players were suspended for 12 months, FAM was fined about 10 billion VND, and at the same time, the reputation of this country's football was heavily affected.
Many opinions in the country, from politicians to fans, have asked FAM to take drastic action to protect the rights of players, and at the same time restore the image of Malaysian football in the eyes of the region and the world.
In the worst case scenario, Malaysia could be eliminated from the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers; or even banned from international tournaments for years.
Currently, Malaysia is at the top of Group F of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers with 6 points after 2 matches. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team is behind with 3 points less.
MU makes decision with Amorim
MU continued to decline with a 1-3 defeat to Brentford, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe kept faith in coach Ruben Amorim until the end of the season.
Amorim is under great pressure, heavily criticized for his rigid, conservative playing style with the 3-4-3 formation even when the team is playing stalemate. TalkSPORT revealed that MU has prepared a list of 3 replacement coaches including Gareth Southgate, Andoni Iraola and Oliver Glasner, and is considering firing him after November 1 to reduce compensation costs.
However, according to BBC Sport, Sir Jim Ratcliffe still has faith in Amorim. The British billionaire believes that it is fair to give the Portuguese coach a full season to prove his ability, especially after the club spent nearly 200 million pounds on new players Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Senne Lammens in the summer of 2025.
An inside source also denied that MU had contacted a replacement candidate, affirming that Amorim is still the only option on the Old Trafford coaching bench. The "Red Devils" board will only make a final decision when the 2025/26 season ends.

MU was in crisis after a 1-3 defeat to Brentford on September 27. The result pushed Amorim's team down to 14th place in the Premier League table with only 7 points after 6 rounds. This is only 1 place higher than the final position last season, in the context of the defense conceding 11 goals.
At Gtech Community Stadium, Igor Thiago scored twice in the first half to put Brentford ahead, before Benjamin Sesko pulled one back for United. However, the turning point came when Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty in the second half. In injury time, Mathias Jensen fired a beautiful long-range shot to seal a 3-1 victory for the home team.
Rashford shines as Barca takes top spot from Real
In the early morning of September 29, Marcus Rashford contributed an assist to help Barcelona beat Real Sociedad 2-1 in round 6 of La Liga.
In the 43rd minute of the match at Lluís Companys Stadium, Barcelona was losing 0-1, Marcus Rashford crossed the ball accurately from a corner kick for Jules Kounde to jump high and head the ball, giving the away team's goalkeeper no chance to block.
Rashford has his third assist in La Liga this season, the second most in the league. In total, the 1997-born player has contributed to five goals (two goals, three assists) in his last five appearances for the Catalan club.

Despite shining in the Champions League, Rashford has yet to score in La Liga this season. In the match against Sociedad, the former MU striker had 3 good chances but could not overcome the opponent's defense.
However, the good coordination between Rashford and Kounde created the premise for the defending champions' comeback. In the 58th minute, Lamine Yamal entered the field and immediately made his mark with a breakthrough down the wing, before passing to Robert Lewandowski to create a cut-off point, raising the score to 2-1 for the home team.
In the final minutes, fans were on the edge of their seats as they witnessed Takefusa Kubo and Lewandowski hit the crossbar.
Barca won their second consecutive match against Sociedad, thereby officially taking the top spot from Real Madrid with 1 point more. In the next round, Rashford and his teammates will meet Sevilla, while Real will face Villarreal.
Italy successfully defended the men's volleyball world championship title
The 2025 Volleyball World Championship final ended with Italy's convincing 3-1 victory over Bulgaria.
Right in the first set, Italy and Bulgaria had a fierce tug of war with eye-catching attacks.
However, from the mid-set point, the defending champions began to create a gap thanks to smart coordination from setter Giannelli and consistent scoring from opposite setter Romano. They closed out the first set with a score of 25-21.
The second set saw Italy completely dominate. Romano continued to explode with powerful serves, causing Bulgaria's defense to repeatedly make mistakes in the first step. Meanwhile, Bulgaria's main attacker Nikolov, despite his best efforts, was not enough to turn the game around, accepting a 17-25 defeat against Italy.

However, Bulgaria did not give up. In set 3, they played with determination, significantly improving their blocking and serving, thereby shortening the score with a 25-17 victory.
Hopes of a quick upset were quickly extinguished in set 4. Italy played extremely solidly, taking full advantage of their opponents' mistakes to end the set with a score difference of 25-10, thereby closing the final match with a 3-1 victory.
With this result, Italy completed their goal of successfully defending the championship. This is also the 5th time they have reached the top of the world, a testament to the mettle and depth of this team.
