The military parade marking the 71st anniversary of the victory over fascism took place solemnly at Red Square in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, on May 9, paying tribute to the 27 million Soviet citizens who died in the Great Patriotic War, liberating Europe from fascism and opening an era of peace for humanity.

2. North Korea celebrates successful party congress

Real estate mogul Donald Trump is hot on former first lady Hillary Clinton’s heels in the race for the White House. In the latest poll conducted by Reuters and released on May 11, 41% of voters support Clinton as president, compared to 40% for Trump.
4. Brazilian President Impeached
Brazil's Senate has voted to remove President Dilma Rousseff from office and impeach her, paving the way for a new government in Latin America's largest economy. Along with her removal, Rousseff will now be impeached by the Brazilian Senate in a process that could take 180 days. After the impeachment process, she could be permanently removed from office.

5. Russia revolts because the US activates missile shield
