The 2008 golden generation gathered at My Dinh to "fuel" the Vietnamese national team
VFF will invite all members of the Vietnam team that won the 2008 AFF Cup to watch the second leg final match between Vietnam and Malaysia.
Ten years after their first Southeast Asian title, the Vietnamese national team is facing a second chance to reach the top of the region when they play the second leg of the 2018 AFF Cup final on home soil. Also after ten years, the generation of players who once made the whole country burst into joy with victory will gather together at My Dinh National Stadium to fuel the spirit of their “juniors”.

The plan to invite all members of the Vietnam national team that won the AFF Cup 2008 is being implemented by VFF to honor the contributions of the 2008 champions to the historical achievements of Vietnamese football in the regional arena (Due to time constraints, unfortunately Coach Calisto will not be present at this event).
VFF will arrange an area in the stands of My Dinh National Stadium reserved for the members of the Vietnam team that won the 2008 AFF Cup.
