The 2008 golden generation gathered at My Dinh to "fuel" the Vietnamese national team.
VFF will invite all members of the Vietnam team that won the AFF Cup 2008 to watch the second leg of the final between Vietnam and Malaysia.
After 10 years since their first Southeast Asian championship, the Vietnam national team is facing the opportunity to reach the top of the region for the second time when they play the second leg of the AFF Cup 2018 final on home ground. Also exactly 10 years, the generation of players who made the whole country burst into joy of victory will gather together at My Dinh National Stadium to fuel the spirit of their "younger brothers".

The plan to invite all members of the Vietnam national team that won the AFF Cup 2008 is being implemented by VFF to honor the contributions of the 2008 champions to the historical achievements of Vietnamese football in the regional arena (Due to time constraints, unfortunately Coach Calisto will not be present at this event).
VFF will arrange an area in the stands of My Dinh National Stadium reserved for members of the Vietnam national team that won the AFF Cup 2008. They hope that their presence will bring great inspiration and motivation to coach Park Hang-seo and his team, helping the players successfully conquer the challenge of Malaysia and step up to the highest position at the AFF Cup 2018./.
