18 more communes meet advanced new rural standards and model new rural standards
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 9, in Vinh city, the Nghe An province's New Rural Appraisal Council held the 4th vote to appraise communes meeting new rural standards at all levels in 2024.
Comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council chaired the meeting. Also attending were representatives of departments and branches that are members of the Provincial Appraisal Council and representatives of the People's Committees of districts and communes on the appraisal list this time.

In which, it emphasized the new socio-economic difficulties, some communes at the time of registration with the province only met 14 or 15 criteria. However, thanks to the efforts and support of the province and district, the communes promptly completed the set criteria.

The verification results of the People's Committees of the districts and the Department of Planning and Investment also showed that 20 communes were included in the voting list this time.no arrearsin the process of building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas or model new rural areas. Therefore, the Provincial New Rural Appraisal Council has conducted appraisal and put it on the list for voting.

Notably, out of 16 communes included in the voting list for advanced new rural standards this time, 13 communes met the criteria. There were 3 communes: Minh Hop (Quy Hop) did not meet the criteria for planning, healthcare, and residential housing; Hung Son (Anh Son) and Nghia Son (Nghia Dan) did not meet the planning criteria so they were not included in the third round of voting. However, after a period of supplementation and correction, the above 3 communes were completed and were included in the fourth round of voting.
Voting results, 20/20 members of the Provincial New Rural Appraisal Council unanimously agreed to propose the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to recognize 20 communes meeting new rural standards at all levels, phase 4, 2024.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial New Rural Area Appraisal Council acknowledged the urgent and serious working spirit of the member departments and branches and the support of the District People's Committees in the past time; at the same time, assigned the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office to urgently complete the dossier to submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for recognition decision.

The list of recognized communes this time includes 2 more communes, Dong Van (Tan Ky) and Cao Son (Anh Son), meeting new rural standards; 16 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, including: Ma Thanh, Phu Thanh, Nam Thanh, Trung Thanh, Lang Thanh, Minh Thanh, Bao Thanh, Vinh Thanh, Lien Thanh (Yen Thanh); Nam Thai, Hong Long (Nam Dan); Nghi Dien, Khanh Hop (Nghi Loc); Minh Hop (Quy Hop); Hung Son (Anh Son); Nghia Son (Nghia Dan); 2 communes: Xuan Lam (Nam Dan) and Long Thanh (Yen Thanh) meeting model new rural standards.
Thus, up to this point, Nghe An has 319/411 communes.new rural standards, 83 communes meet advanced new rural standards and 12 communes meet model new rural standards. Nghe An strives to have 340 communes meet new rural standards by the end of 2025, 135 communes meet advanced new rural standards, 34 communes meet model new rural standards and 11 district-level units complete/meet new rural standards.
