Previously, on March 6, 2020, the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology sent an official dispatch to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) confirming that the National Children's Hospital is capable of testing for SARS-CoV-2 virus after conducting an assessment and evaluation of the testing capacity at this hospital and giving the result: The Department of Molecular Biology Research of Infectious Diseases, National Children's Hospital is capable of confirming the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
