Two more people died from serious underlying diseases and Covid-19
On the morning of August 10, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son - Head of the Ministry of Health's special Covid-19 prevention and control unit in Da Nang city informed about 2 deaths of Covid-19 patients. These are the 12th and 13th deaths due to Covid-19 since the outbreak in Vietnam.
Specifically as follows:
1. Patient 430:Female, 33 years old, address Hai Chau II Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang city.
Medical history: End-stage renal failure, heart failure, hypertension, sepsis.
On July 23, the patient was very tired and had difficulty breathing. He went to the hospital for examination and was admitted to the Department of Nephrology, Da Nang Hospital. He was diagnosed with acute pneumonia caused by Covid-19. He was isolated and had samples taken for testing.
On July 26, the patient tested positive for SARS-COV-2;
On July 30, the patient's condition worsened and he was transferred to Hue Central General Hospital, Branch 2, and underwent continuous dialysis;
On August 1, the patient was intubated and put on a ventilator;
On August 3, the patient was placed on ECMO artificial lung;
August 9, 10:30 p.m.: patient's condition is critical, respiratory arrest occurs;
August 10, 00:30: patient died.
Diagnosis of death: Severe pneumonia due to Covid-19, complications of irreversible multiple organ failure, toxic septic shock in a patient with end-stage chronic renal failure, peritoneal dialysis and hypertensive heart failure.

2. Patient 737 (Patient 737): Female, 47 years old, address Son Tra district, Da Nang city.
History: End-stage chronic renal failure with periodic hemodialysis and stent placement, heart failure, hypertension.
On July 27, the patient was isolated and tested negative for SARS-COV-2;
On August 4, the patient tested positive for SARS-COV-2 for the second time and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of Da Nang Hospital;
On August 6, the patient was transferred to Hoa Vang Medical Center for treatment;
August 9, 7:30 p.m.: Patient with respiratory failure, mechanical ventilation, intubation, must use sedatives and cardiac drugs;
August 10, 00:45: patient fell into a deep coma, heartbeat became irregular and then stopped; 1:15: patient died.
Diagnosis of death: myocardial infarction, heart failure, end-stage chronic renal failure, periodic dialysis and Covid-19.
