21 new COVID-19 cases, 20 related to Da Nang, Vietnam has 810 patients
The 6 p.m. news on August 8 of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported 21 new cases of COVID-19, including 20 cases related to Da Nang and 1 imported case that was immediately quarantined. Vietnam now has 810 patients.
Of the 21 cases, 20 are related to Da Nang, including Da Nang: 15 cases, Quang Nam: 2 cases, Bac Giang: 2 cases, Khanh Hoa: 1 case and 1 case quarantined immediately after entering the country in Hanoi.
CASE 790 (BN790) in Hanoi, male patient, 17 years old, address at Hung Long, Binh Chanh, Binh Duong.
On August 6, the patient returned from the US to Noi Bai Airport on flight VN2, was quarantined immediately after entering Hanoi, and had samples taken for testing by the Hanoi CDC.
As a result, the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The patient is currently isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility.

CASES 792 and 796 (BN 792 and 796) in Quang Nam:1 case visited a relative at the Department of Nephrology - Endocrinology, Da Nang Hospital and 1 case was a patient at the Department of Nephrology - Endocrinology, Da Nang Hospital.
Currently, 2 patients are being isolated and treated at Quang Nam Central General Hospital.
PATIENTS 793 – 794 (BN793- 794) in Bac Giang:All are F1 cases, traveling to Da Nang with a family group from July 21-24. Currently, the patients are being isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility.
CASE 795 and CASE 797-810 in Da Nangincluding 1 medical staff, 1 patient and 13 cases are F1

- As of 6:00 p.m. on August 8: Vietnam has a total of 810 COVID-19 cases, of which 317 imported cases were immediately quarantined.
- Number of new cases related to Da Nang from July 25 to present: 353 cases recorded.
- From 6am to 6pm on August 8: 21 new cases recorded.
