75 more days to inspect law compliance at 12 mineral enterprises
(Baonghean.vn) - Up to now, the interdisciplinary inspection team under Decision No. 3892/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee has inspected 4 enterprises. Of which, it has concluded and advised competent authorities to impose penalties on 3 enterprises; the 4th enterprise with 2 mining sites is being inspected.
On October 21, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 3892/QD-UBND to establish an interdisciplinary delegation to inspect the compliance with the law in mineral activities of 12 enterprises and the responsibilities of 4 district-level People's Committees in state management of minerals. According to Decision No. 3892/QD-UBND, the inspection period is 75 days.

On January 24, 2022, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team sent Document No. 12/DKT to the Provincial People's Committee on extending the inspection period. It reported that up to this point, the Inspection Team had conducted inspections at 3 enterprises. Of which, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team concluded and advised the competent authority to impose a fine on 1 enterprise, and completed the inspection records for 2 enterprises.
Through the above results, the Inspection Team found that the inspection period of 75 days for 12 enterprises and 4 district-level People's Committees was not enough to carry out the task, the reason being: There was a need to develop plans, make plans, and estimate the measurement and determination of raw mineral reserves to submit to competent authorities for approval. The inspection outline for the inspected subjects had many related contents and many fields (Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Tax, Police); The operation process had to be carried out both at the scene and at the office; The collection and processing of data related to the inspection content required a lot of time... "In order to successfully complete the task assigned by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 3892/QD-UBND, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team proposed that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee extend the inspection period by 75 days to carry out the task..." - The Interdisciplinary Inspection Team recommended in Document No. 12/DKT.
On January 27, 2022, pursuant to Document No. 12/DKT, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 276/QD-UBND extending the inspection period for the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team according to Decision No. 3892/QD-UBND for a period of 75 days.

“Extend the inspection period for the Interdisciplinary Team according to Decision No. 3892/QD-UBND to inspect the compliance with the law in mineral activities of enterprises and the responsibility of the District People's Committee in state management of the mineral sector. The extension period is 75 working days, from the date of expiry of the reporting period according to Decision No. 3892/QD-UBND dated October 21, 2021 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee” - the opinion of the Provincial People's Committee is clearly stated in Decision No. 276/QD-UBND.
According to a leader of the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team, up to now, the team has inspected a total of 4 enterprises. Of which, they have concluded and advised competent authorities to impose penalties on 3 enterprises; the 4th enterprise with 2 mining sites is being inspected.
