Another suspension bridge 'traps people' in Western Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - The suspension bridge in Quanh village, Chau Thon commune (Que Phong), built more than 10 years ago, is now seriously degraded. Local people are facing many dangers because of this 'human trap' bridge.

The suspension bridge in Ban Quanh was built in 2006. After more than 10 years of use, the wooden planks on the bridge have rotted, and many planks have fallen off, leaving large holes on the bridge surface. This situation has existed for many years, threatening the lives and property of people every time they cross the bridge. Ban Quanh has 105 households with 485 people who regularly have to cross this suspension bridge.

Chau Thon is a commune located between two important traffic routes, National Highway 16 and National Highway 48D. Mr. Vi Van Chin - Chairman of Chau Thon Commune People's Committee said: The commune has 3 suspension bridges, of which 2 are Din Danh and Ban Lam bridges that have been upgraded and repaired. As for the suspension bridge in Ban Quanh, the commune and district have repeatedly requested all levels and sectors to pay attention to repairing it, but up to now, they still have to wait.
