Another former player from Nghe An province pursues coaching career
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (November 13), the homepage of Ba Ria Vung Tau Club announced that former captain Nguyen Hai Anh will take on the role of assistant to coach Tran Minh Chien in the 2021 season, the season in which the team nicknamed "sea eagles" aims to win a promotion ticket.

Nguyen Hai Anh was born in 1987 in Nghia Dan district, Nghe An province. At the age of 2, Nguyen Hai Anh's family moved to Ba Ria Vung Tau. Before becoming a professional player, Nguyen Hai Anh was a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports and Physical Education, Faculty of Football. Thanks to the discovery and introduction of Coach Doan Minh Xuong, Nguyen Hai Anh was able to try his hand at playing for Military Zone 7, Binh Thuan in the National Second Division in 2007 and 2008.
Since then, Nguyen Hai Anh has also played for teams in different leagues such as Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Dong Nai, XSKT Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City Club and Ba Ria Vung Tau Club. In the last two seasons (2019 - 2020), Nguyen Hai Anh has been the main striker and captain of the team led by coach Tran Minh Chien. The achievements of winning the National Second Division Championship in 2019 and the runner-up position in the National First Division Championship in 2020 of Ba Ria Vung Tau Club, are in no small part due to the 33-year-old former striker.
In the past, Nguyen Hai Anh was called up to the Vietnam National Team under Coach Miura (2014 - 2016). Although he only played a total of 8 matches, Nguyen Hai Anh still managed to score 4 goals. Unfortunately, not being able to compete for a position with top strikers like Le Cong Vinh and Nguyen Anh Duc, Nguyen Hai Anh was not often used by Coach Miura in the official matches of the Vietnam National Team.
