Another student in Thanh Chuong swept away by floods.
(Baonghean.vn) -On her way home from school, Bui Thi Huyen, from Thanh Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district, was swept away by floodwaters while crossing a flooded section of road.

According to Mr. Tran Van Tu, Principal of Thanh Lam Secondary School in Thanh Chuong district, 11-year-old Bui Thi Huyen, a 6th-grade student from Thanh Lam commune, was swept away by floodwaters and drowned on her way home from school on the afternoon of September 20th.
Later that afternoon, Huyen's body was found. The accident occurred on the Minh Lan – Tan Hoa inter-hamlet road in Thanh Lam commune.
Many roads in Thanh Lam commune are completely isolated.
On the afternoon of September 21st, the family, school, and local authorities held a funeral for Huyen according to local customs. Representatives from the Red Cross, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Education Department of Thanh Chuong district visited and offered condolences to the family. Initially, the People's Committee of Thanh Lam commune provided Huyen's family with 2 million VND in support.
