The Russian Su-35 fighter jet is equipped with a unique optical system that allows it to be both stealthy and capable of detecting enemy drones, helicopters, and aircraft.

According to Izvestia, to achieve these features, Russian designers equipped the Su-35 with IRSTS OLS-35 systems capable of monitoring engine temperature changes.

The IRSTS OLS-35 system also allows for the interception of missiles and the dropping of bombs on ground targets with high precision.

The OLS-35 is based on highly sensitive video imaging, a thermal remote tracker that operates in any weather conditions day and night, as well as laser tracking.

Lasers measure the distance to a target and create an invisible aiming point to "guide" bombs and missiles with laser-guided warheads.

The data is transmitted through the fighter jet's sighting system, and then the onboard machinery rapidly calculates the precise parameters to neutralize the designated target.

The information gathered by the radar-optical system will be displayed on a screen in the nose cone of the aircraft, in the cockpit.
