Another high-rise fire in Russia: 200 people urgently evacuated
A serious fire has just occurred at a high-rise building in Grozny city, capital of Chechnya region, Russia, forcing more than 200 people to evacuate.
The fire comes a day after a fire at the Winter Cherry shopping mall in Kemerovo, Russia, killed 64 people. According to Russian media, the fire broke out on the rooftop of the high-rise building on March 26 and quickly engulfed an area of more than 300 square meters.

Residents of the nearby shopping mall were also evacuated for fear of the fire spreading to neighboring buildings. About 155 firefighters, 14 vehicles and a variety of firefighting equipment were dispatched to the scene. After two hours, firefighters extinguished the fire.
The head of the Chechen emergency response agency, Ruslan Yakhyaev, said that after the apartments in the building were thoroughly checked for risks, residents would be allowed to return home. Fortunately, there were no casualties in this fire./.
