Disciplinary action against 5 party members involved in gambling
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2017, the Tan Ky District Party Committee's Inspection Committee disciplined 5 party members for participating in gambling, violating what party members are not allowed to do.
Five party members involved in gambling were expelled from the party, including: Former Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Tan Huong commune, and party members in Tan Ky town, Ky Tan commune, Nghia Phuc commune, and Nghia Dung commune.

Tan Ky is also one of the few districts that has issued a separate Directive (Directive 02-CT/HU) on strengthening the Party's leadership in preventing and combating gambling in the area and implementing the signing of commitments to Party members and the masses in the hamlets.
Mr. Phan Van Giap - Standing Deputy Secretary of Tan Ky District Party Committee said: The Directive received the consensus and support of cadres, party members and the masses. Thereby, mobilizing the political system to fight and prevent gambling, expanding the forms of receiving denunciations, providing hotline numbers of comrades in the District Party Committee Standing Committee and district police leaders to 268 blocks, hamlets and villages in the area.
As for officials and party members, participating in gambling, regardless of their position or function, will be severely punished, without precedent or forbidden areas.
Since the issuance of Directive 02-CT/HU (November 3, 2015), in Tan Ky district, 11 party members who participated in gambling were disciplined, of which the District Party Committee expelled 2 party members, the District Party Committee Inspection Committee expelled 9 party members, including 2 commune farmers' association chairmen and 1 commune police chief.
