One change this year is to shorten the break time between the two components of the combined test, from 20 minutes compared to last year, to 10 minutes. The scores of the objective tests as well as the essay test in Literature are calculated on a scale of 10 and rounded to 2 decimal places, instead of rounded to 0.25 as last year. This is to ensure fairness in scoring for candidates.
Similar to last year, in 2018, candidates who want to take the exam to be considered for high school graduation recognition, if studying the high school education program, must register and take 4 exams. Of which, 3 are independent, compulsory exams: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and one exam that the candidate chooses from 2 combined exams of Natural Sciences or Science.c society. Candidates studying the High School Continuing Education program take 3 exams, including 2 independent exams in Math and Literature and one optional exam from 2 combined exams.
The 2018 National High School Exam will take place from June 25 to 27. Each locality will have an exam cluster, which will be chaired by the Department of Education in coordination with universities.
