Leaving the exam room, candidate Le Van Sang – a student at Huynh Thuc Khang High School said: This year’s exam was quite suitable and I hope to get 7-8 points and better candidates can get higher scores. I found the questions from 44-50 the most difficult, the rest were suitable and similar to the sample exam.

For good students, this exam is an opportunity for them to demonstrate their abilities. Candidate Dinh Thanh Hoang - a student majoring in Physics at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted said: The structure of this year's Math exam has not changed compared to previous years, there are only about 5-8 difficult questions, requiring candidates to calculate more. Hoang confidently scored 9 points in Math.
At the exam site of 1/5 High School - Nghia Dan, many students also commented that this year's Math exam had a high level of classification, and students who reviewed carefully could complete the basic easy questions.
Candidate Truong Thi Ngoc Lan - student of 1/5 High School said: The test has 50 questions, the first 34 questions are quite easy for most students, but from question 35 onwards are very difficult questions. I expect to get about 6 points, to get 8 points or more, I have to review all types of questions carefully.

Candidate Nguyen Khac Bao shared: This year's Math exam was quite difficult, with a high level of classification. Getting a score of 5 is not difficult. However, getting a score of 7 or higher is not easy, especially the questions on finding sets and antiderivatives. Almost all of my classmates could not do this question.
Present at the Hoang Mai High School exam site, many candidates excitedly walked out the gate after finishing the exam. Ho Anh Nghia - Hoang Mai High School shared: This year's Math exam, like previous years, has a distinction between the graduation exam and the university entrance exam.

After finishing the Math test, I found the first 30 questions were within the ability of the graduation exam candidates, and all the candidates solved them quickly.
However, from question 35 onwards, it becomes more difficult, requiring high concentration and solid knowledge to be able to do it. Although I am a candidate majoring in Natural Sciences, I personally find questions from number 40 onwards difficult and have many “strange” questions. I only finished question 46, and did not read the remaining 4 questions.

Candidate Pham Thi Hong Van from Quynh Luu 1 High School said that this year's Math exam was suitable for the students' abilities, but it was still difficult to get a high score.
Compared to the 2017 Math exam, this year's exam is more difficult but "easier" than the 2018 exam. This year's Math exam will have many students unable to solve all 50 questions because the questions are difficult and strange.

At the exam council of Quy Hop I High School, candidates Pham Ngoc Cuong and Ho Anh Dung - students of Quy Hop II High School both said: The Math exam is quite easy for candidates majoring in block A like us, the exam score will be 8 points.
As for candidate Dang Quoc Cuong, he excitedly said: “The official exam is easier than the practice exam, especially the part at the end of the exam about complex numbers will classify the candidates' academic ability. Personally, I did quite well, about 80%. I think my Math score will be higher than my Literature score.”

According to the majority of candidates at Quy Hop 1 test site, the Math test was quite easy, candidates with average academic ability will easily get 7-8 points, and they think that the 120-minute Math test with 50 questions is reasonable.
At the end of the second exam, the whole province had 85 absent candidates, no candidates or invigilators violated exam regulations and no unusual incidents occurred, the exam took place normally and safely.
Commenting on the exam, Ms. Pham Thi Nhan - Math teacher, Quy Hop 2 High School said: After reading the exam, I was really happy. In the 50 questions of the Math exam, from question 1 to question 30 closely followed the content of the sample exam of the Ministry of Education and Training and were suitable for students to review for the graduation exam. The main focus was on functions, explanations, complex numbers... Students have practiced this type of questions a lot, so they are quite proficient, have quick reflexes, and do not take much time to complete.
In the following questions, the level of difficulty is gradually differentiated for good students. Among them, there are about 10 questions that are more extensive than the Ministry's questions, although they are still knowledge in the curriculum. These questions require candidates to understand well and apply knowledge well, especially in the implicit graph section.
The last 4 questions are especially difficult, for excellent students with solid knowledge, high thinking ability and creative application.
With these questions, candidates must practice a lot, research and study by themselves to be able to synthesize and do well (mathematics and analysis). Particularly, students in difficult and mountainous areas such as Quy Hop district will have a "struggle" with these last questions.
Ms. Nhan also said that this exam does not challenge students. Compared to last year's exam, she feels satisfied, reassured and confident that students will be able to do the test, including those who take the high school exam just to graduate.
For students studying block A and aiming for university entrance exams, I think they will try hard to get 8 or 9 points. Getting 10 points is very difficult.
