Many beauties smiled and stammered when they didn't know English, or reacted slowly in the challenge of interacting with foreign teachers.

After the semi-final night on November 4, the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant was ordered to stop operating. However, the reality TV show I Am Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 continued to air as usual.

In episode seven on the evening of November 11, 45 contestants took on an English communication challenge. Accompanying them in this competition, in addition to host Pham Huong, there was also professional advisor - runner-up Hoang My - and a number of foreign teachers.

Foreign language skills are considered an important factor to help contestants gain an advantage when entering the international beauty arena. In the challenge, many contestants revealed poor foreign language skills such as bad pronunciation, incorrect answers because they did not understand the question correctly, and poor grammar.i. Confusion and lack of confidence are also major drawbacks of the contestants. In addition to English speaking skills, the judges also evaluate the contestants' demeanor and flexibility. The organizers said they appreciate the girls who behave skillfully even though their English is not good.

The eight faces that performed best in the competition included:Phuong Hoa,Tieu Ngoc Linh, Tuyet Trang, Lan Vy,Nhu Ngoc,Minh Trang, Cam Tien,Hoang Lan. Due to their victory in the previous episode, Hoang Thuy and Mau Thuy won priority, joining the top 8 contestants in the next round: filming a commercial for a fashion brand. The couple Tuyet Trang - Lan Vy were rated the highest by the brand representative, winning with the prize of an experience trip to Seoul Fashion Week, Korea.
