This candidate said that the exam had a familiar structure with reading comprehension, social commentary, and literary commentary. As for me, I only focused on completing the reading comprehension and social commentary sections. For the literature section, I did not review much, so I just tried to do the basic structure of an essay and the knowledge that my teachers had instructed me.

This year's exam paper has an essay about the responsibility of the younger generation in following in the footsteps of previous generations. This candidate said it was not too difficult and with his understanding he could write a complete essay.

Candidate Tong Tran Khanh Linh - Hermann Gmeiner High School said: I took the D block exam and set a high goal for Literature, so I was quite stressed before this exam. However, after nearly 3 years of being affected by the pandemic and having to study online, I found this year's exam to be suitable for reality. Personally, I think this exam is comfortable and both I and many other students can do it. The social argumentation question is close to students and can be related to many aspects of life. For example, the previous generation contributed to the development of the country. Today, Vietnam is integrating and we will try to study hard to be able to contribute to building a strong homeland.

The Social Essay section is excerpted from the work “The Boat Far Away” by writer Nguyen Minh Chau, requiring candidates to analyze the excerpt and relate the image of the boat in the excerpt to the image of the boat struggling against the storm described in the story to draw a message about the relationship between art and life.

Regarding this test, candidate Tong Tran Khanh Linh said that the test already has available materials, so even average candidates can do it. As for candidates taking the D block, this test is not too difficult, because the works of writer Nguyen Minh Chau are often reviewed very carefully and only need to have a firm grasp of the lesson to complete.

This year's high school graduation literature exam was assessed by many candidates in Quy Hop district as both closely following basic knowledge and differentiating candidates. The way the questions were set in the literature essay section was consistent with the current trend of open questions.

At the Quy Hop High School exam site, Nguyen Cong Danh was the first candidate to leave, 30 minutes before the scheduled exam time. According to candidate Danh, “This year’s Literature test was quite difficult, but I reviewed the test and was able to do it. My Literature score is probably above average.”

Sharing the same opinion with Nguyen Cong Danh, two candidates Truong Cong Chinh and Nguyen Dinh Khai said that this year's Literature exam was based on the questions they had prepared, so they did relatively well. Question 3 of the literature essay section was a bit difficult and required students to have a solid grasp of the text.

A Literature teacher in Quy Hop district commented that this year's Literature graduation exam was not surprising, and was within the ability of candidates who could easily achieve average scores. In addition, there was high differentiation in the literature essay section.

Candidate Nguyen Phuong Thao - Thai Hoa High School happily said: "The time for the Literature exam is only 120 minutes, however, this year's Literature exam still follows the format of the following sections: Reading comprehension, social discussion and there are questions requiring candidates to think creatively, linking literary knowledge with social life such as the question "Express your thoughts on the responsibility of the young generation in following in the footsteps of previous generations". The difficulty of this exam is that students draw out the message about the relationship between art and life in the short story "The Boat Out at Sea". I think this year's Literature exam is very good and within my ability".

Not only Phuong Thao, other candidates left the school gate all smiling because they had completed their exams. Nguyen Gia Bao shared: “This year's exam is different from the structure given by the Ministry of Education and Training, especially in questions 1 and 2; The knowledge in the exam is basic, referring to key issues in the textbook program, especially in the first semester. In the reading comprehension section, the questions required candidates to answer are quite easy, as long as they have a solid grasp of the knowledge in the textbook, those who do not major in social sciences can also get 6 - 7 points. I am very happy to have completed my first exam quite well. I predict that I can get a higher score in Literature”.

Regarding the literary argument, the structure is slightly different from the sample exam but it is still within the core issues in the review program. However, students will find it difficult to write long and good literary argument because it requires deep, solid knowledge and comparison.

Candidate Luong Thi Huyen Phuong - a 12B grade student at Muong Qua High School (Con Cuong) said that although it is easy to get an average score in this Literature test, it is difficult to get a high score. Commenting on the reading comprehension section (3 points), Phuong said that this is a good question. However, if a candidate has a rote learning method, lacks life skills and has limited social knowledge, it will be very difficult to present and answer all the requirements of the test. In this section, I hope to only get 1.5 points.

As for the writing section, there are 2 questions. In the 5-point writing question, candidate Phuong commented: "Analyze the excerpt, from which the image of the boat in the excerpt is related to the image of the boat struggling with the storm in the lagoon described in the story to draw a message about the relationship between art and life". This is a rather difficult question. For those who follow the Social Science block, they will do better. As for those who follow the Natural Science block, I think the question requires a rather long analysis, so it is difficult to get a high score, especially for those who are subjective, careless or do not have a deep understanding of the work. I also did a basic job on this question. Overall, I think I will get an average score for the first exam."

At Tan Ky High School, after 120 minutes of taking the test, candidate Nguyen Hoang Chau Giang shared: When I held the test in my hand, I felt secure because this morning's Literature test was part of the content that the teachers had given me to review. Passing the first test, I did quite well, which is the motivation for me to confidently enter the next tests of the 2022 High School Graduation Exam.

Of which, there are 10 candidates from the Center for Continuing Education, 24 independent candidates, 482 candidates registered for both graduation and university and college admission, and 31 candidates registered for graduation. After finishing the first exam, contestant Lo Thi Dao - a student of class 12C2, Quy Chau High School said: "The reading comprehension part was quite easy, the questions were close to reality, suitable for my ability. I was impressed with question 1 of the writing part about writing a paragraph presenting my thoughts on the responsibility of the younger generation in following in the footsteps of previous generations. I found this question very meaningful because I could relate to myself to express the opinions and aspirations of the youth to follow in the footsteps of previous generations. The analysis of the excerpt was a bit difficult."

According to teacher Nguyen Thi Ha - Literature teacher, Quy Chau High School, "This year's exam has a basic structure that ensures that students can do well in Part 1: Reading comprehension, within their ability, and similar to the sample exam. As for the literature essay, question 1 is similar to the sample exam, but question 2 is not exactly the same as the sample exam, so it may be a bit difficult for students."
