The body of the second victim of toxic gas suffocation was brought out of the cave.

After 4 days of searching, the rescue team has brought the bodies of 2 victims out; currently only victim Pham Van Dung (Dam village, Lam Xa commune, Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa province) has not been brought out of the cave.

Colonel Hoang Minh Luyen, Chief of Staff of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command, Deputy Chief of the Provincial Office of Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, said that at 1 p.m. on June 9, the rescue team brought the body of Kha Van Huyen (resident of Pu Bin commune, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province) out of Nuoc cave (Kit village, Lung Cao commune, Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa province).

Rescue forces also discovered the body of Pham Van Dung in Nuoc cave at a depth of about 80m and 3m away from Huyen's body. Rescue forces are currently urgently removing Dung's body from the cave.

Previously, on June 8, the Engineering Corps and Chemical Corps (Ministry of National Defense) were mobilized to coordinate with functional forces of Thanh Hoa province to actively search, rescue and rescue the two gold miners still trapped inside.

Here, the Chemical Corps brought equipment to survey inside the Water Cave. The survey results showed that the amount of toxic gas in the cave still exceeded the safe level.

Authorities also called for the cooperation of people who have been to the Water Cave and understand the cave's terrain to have a comprehensive picture of the cave's structure, creating favorable conditions for rescue forces.

By the morning of June 9, the survey results showed that the amount of CO in the cave was at a safe level. Accordingly, the authorities went deep into the cave to search for the remaining two victims and were able to bring Huyen's body out of the Nuoc cave.

As reported by VNA, on June 5, Mr. Kha Van Ngon and Mr. Kha Van Huyen went down to Nuoc cave to fix a gold mining machine. However, both of them suffocated.

Mr. Ngon tried to crawl up to the cave entrance and shouted for everyone to come down and save Mr. Huyen. At that time, Mr. Pham Van Dung went down to the cave to save Mr. Ngon. But due to the high concentration of toxic gas, Mr. Dung fainted and could not get out of the cave.

On June 6, Mr. Bui Van Man, a resident of Sao 7 Commune, Kim Boi District, Hoa Binh Province, went down to the cave to rescue the two people mentioned above. However, Mr. Man was also suffocated by toxic gas and could not get out of the cave.

At 2:00 a.m. on June 8, authorities, residents and family members were able to bring Bui Van Man's body out./.
