The town of Quan Hanh (Nghi Loc) is still selling expired goods.
(Baonghean.vn) - On September 24th, the inter-agency team of Nghi Loc district conducted inspections on food safety during the 2015 Mid-Autumn Festival.
During this inspection, the inter-agency team of the district focused on checking the direction and management of state affairs and measures to ensure food safety and hygiene by departments, agencies, units, and communes and towns. They also inspected compliance with legal regulations on food safety and hygiene by food production, business, and import establishments, with a focus on food items that are widely consumed during the Mid-Autumn Festival such as cakes, candies, jams, beer, wine, and soft drinks.

Inspections conducted in four key communes, covering nearly 20 confectionery outlets in the district, generally showed that the goods on display complied with regulations. However, in Quan Hanh Town, a significant amount of expired food and confectionery was still being sold, with some items having expired nearly a year ago. The most common items were vermicelli, fish sauce, chili sauce, and various types of yogurt. Following the inspection, the inter-agency team from the district issued administrative fines to the households violating regulations by selling expired goods in the town and destroyed the expired products discovered during this inspection.
