Cua Lo Town: 60% of rooms were booked by tourists before the festival opening time.

At this time, many hotels and motels in Cua Lo town are rushing to complete renovations, embellishments, and careful preparations to welcome the tourist season; at the same time, they are increasing staff to serve guests.

According to a survey by reporters, currently, some hotels and motels are fully booked even though it is not yet the opening time, especially branded hotels located on major roads such as Binh Minh, Sao Nam... The number of guests booking rooms directly at hotels and via the internet is also gradually increasing.

Mr. Son - Sales Manager at a hotel on Binh Minh Street said: "In recent days, the hot weather, along with the upcoming long holiday, has caused the number of guests booking rooms to increase continuously. Many tourists even booked rooms a month ago due to concerns about running out of rooms."

However, according to many hotel owners, the number of room reservations has increased every day but is still not equal to the 2018 tourist season.

Mr. Vo Yen Ky - a hotel owner said: "Last year, before the opening of the Cua Lo Tourism Festival, 25 rooms of our hotel were full, we even had to refuse bookings due to overload. However, up to now, only 2/3 of the rooms have been booked."

The opening day took place on Friday, although civil servants had a day off, a number of students, teachers, employees of some companies... still had to go to school and work on Saturday. That could be the reason why the number of rooms was not as full as in previous years.

Currently, most of the hotels and motels with vacant rooms are located far from the beach, on small roads. However, according to hotel owners, it is expected that after the opening day - the official holiday time - there will be no more vacant rooms.

Although the number of guests booking rooms is increasing day by day, the room rates in Cua Lo town are still stable and publicly listed. Depending on the star rating of the hotel, the room rates will change. High-end hotels cost over 1 million VND/day and night; mid-range hotels and motels range from 400,000 - 900,000 VND/day and night.

This year, Cua Lo town has set a target of welcoming over 3 million visitors. Of these, there are about 1.6 million overnight visitors and more than 7,000 international visitors. Revenue from tourism services is about 3,400 billion VND.

Up to now, about 60% of the rooms have been booked by tourists. This number is lower than the 2018 tourist season. The reason is that this is a long holiday, while the town organizes a tourism festival early, so many tourists cannot arrange to return in time. However, tomorrow (April 27), hotels and motels in the town are expected to be full of guests.
