Design of 2-layer house with doors, production of hundreds of thousands of lead bullets
After being arrested, the subjects confessed that they rented a house and designed two doors that were always closed, not allowing strangers to enter, to illegally produce and manufacture lead bullets for the purpose of selling for profit.
On the morning of July 31, Song Cong City Police (Thai Nguyen) said that they had just discovered a group of subjects showing signs of trading in prohibited goods and manufacturing,illegal manufacturing of bulletsof air guns.
Authorities have detained three suspects, seized 68.7 kg of firecrackers and more than 123,000 bullets.
Previously, at around 4:00 p.m. on July 24, Song Cong City Police discovered and caught red-handed Nguyen Manh Hai (born in 1997, in Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province) and Le Viet Hao (born in 2001, in Yen The district, Bac Giang province) in the act of storing and trading in prohibited goods, which were 25 boxes of explosive fireworks, a type of firework with a total weight of 36 pieces, with a total weight of 34 kg.
During the investigation, the police determined that in addition to the two subjects above, there were other subjects related to the fireworks trafficking ring, including: Do Minh Thao (born in 1978, in Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen province) and Duong Quoc Hung (born in 1971, in Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province).
During an emergency search of Thao and Hung's residence, the investigation agency discovered and seized 25 boxes of fireworks with a total weight of 34.7 kg.
Continuing to expand the investigation, the investigation agency urgently searched the residence of Hai and Hao in Bach Quang ward (Song Cong city) and discovered 7 subjects illegally manufacturing and producing lead bullets and air gun bullets.
The police seized two homemade stamping machines used to make bullets, more than 123,000 lead bullets with a total weight of 165kg, and many other exhibits related to the acts of trading in prohibited goods and illegally manufacturing and producing weapons, explosives, and supporting tools.
At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed to illegally manufacturing and making lead bullets for the purpose of selling for profit. To conceal their crime, the subjects rented a house in Bach Quang ward, redesigned the house with two layers of doors that were always closed and did not allow strangers to enter.
In addition, the subjects falsely informed the surrounding people that they rented the house to grow aquatic vegetables. However, the subjects hired many workers from other localities to conceal their crimes.
Song Cong City Police have issued an emergency arrest warrant and criminal detention for the subjects: Nguyen Manh Hai, Le Viet Hao, Do Minh Thao to serve the investigation of the case, continue to consolidate documents and evidence to handle related subjects according to the provisions of law.
