From awareness to action

At Khe Ngau village Party Cell (Xa Luong commune), the implementation of Directive 05 is concretized through the example of each cadre and party member in developing farm and family economic models, spreading to the masses.

Mr. Kha Danh Tu - Secretary of Khe Ngau village Party Cell said: The Party Cell has built a leadership model for developing farm and family economy with the spirit of "party members go first", through which many typical examples of good economic development have emerged, becoming examples for the people in the village such as the economic model of comprehensive livestock farms (cows, goats, chickens, fish ponds...) of comrades Luong Van Thai, Luong Van Toan, Truong Van May, Luong Van Chau, Kha Van Man... with an average income of 80 - 120 million VND per year. Thanks to that, trust has been created between the people and the Party Cell, people are enthusiastic about farming, raising livestock, applying good models, new ways of doing things and helping each other develop the economy.

Khe Ngau village party cell also assigned each party member to be in charge of a household to promptly understand the thoughts and aspirations, and mobilize people to abandon outdated farming methods and change production forms; from there, many households have risen out of poverty, with 13 models combining livestock and crop farming bringing high economic efficiency of an average of 60 million VND/year. In addition, Khe Ngau village also creates agricultural products with local brands such as: sweet eggplant, pond fish, vegetables...

The poverty rate of the village has decreased (in 2015, there were 80/149 poor households in the village, accounting for 53.7%, by early 2021 there were 4 households left, accounting for 2.68%). Notably, since 2019, the Party Cell has directed the Village Management Board and the people to complete the criteria for new rural construction. The collective Party Cell of the village received a Provincial Certificate of Merit on the occasion of summarizing 5 years of implementing Directive 05.

Tuong Duong is a district 30a, where people's lives are still difficult, so the content of studying and following Uncle Ho is concretized by collectives and individuals in the area through practical activities to create changes in awareness and action towards the goal of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and new rural construction. For example, in the Tam Quang Commune Party Committee, implementingDirective No. 05of the Politburo is associated with the effective implementation of the National Target Program on new rural construction.

First of all, as Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Secretary of the Party Committee of Tam Quang commune shared: The heads of the Party Committee and the government must truly be responsible people who "say what they do"; listen and promote the people's right to mastery... Thanks to that, many models in various fields have been widely deployed and have had a strong influence. Outstanding in the economic field are the movement of afforestation, renovating mixed gardens, models of grass planting, fattening cattle, and red-fleshed dragon fruit that have been widely developed, contributing to increasing people's income, reducing the rate of poor households from 518 households (31.28%) in 2016 to 103 households, or 2.92% in 2020.

The 9th Youth Volunteer Team is located in the border area of ​​Tam Hop commune, a particularly difficult area, with ethnic minorities: Mong, Thai, Tay Poong, with low education level, production is mainly self-sufficient, heavily dependent on the forest, income and life of the people are still difficult. In recent years, the Party Cell of the 9th Youth Volunteer Team Nghe An has deployed many models, tested many crops and livestock, deployed to team members' households and people such as Tuyet Shan tea, passion fruit, red turmeric, terraced rice, ginger, taro, black chicken, black pig...

Red turmeric is a plant that is suitable for the local climate and soil conditions and has high yield, good quality and cultivation and production suitable to the level and customs of team members and local people.

After testing and putting into production, at the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018, the team members and people in the area harvested nearly 127 tons, worth nearly 1.3 billion VND. In 2020, the unit purchased 370 tons for the people, worth nearly 1.7 billion VND. In 2021, the unit purchased 224 tons for the people, worth more than 1 billion VND.

The total value of the 4 years of growing red turmeric is 6.4 billion VND, attracting 120 households from 2 villages Pha Lom and Huoi Son to participate, all products are purchased and processed on the spot by the Youth Volunteer Team 9. Not only red turmeric, all agricultural products produced by the people in the area are purchased by the unit at prices 10-15% higher than the market, such as: corn, squash, pumpkin...

Thanks to the efforts of cadres and party members of the 9th Nghe An Youth Volunteer Force Party Cell in mobilizing people to overcome the mentality of waiting and relying on others, actively increase production, contributing to increasing the average income of Tam Hop commune by 1.5 times.

Associated with the implementation of political tasks

The Standing Committee of Tuong Duong District Party Committee and grassroots Party committees have concretized Directive No. 05-CT/TW in conjunction with Resolution 4 of the Central Committee into the action program to implement the congress resolution and the tasks of leadership and direction of socio-economic development, national defense and security, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of organizations in the political system and of cadres and party members about the sense of serving the people.

Thereby, promoting patriotic emulation movements, creating strong waves in the whole district such as: Youth Union at all levels with the movement "5 shocks to develop socio-economy and protect the Fatherland", "4 accompanies young people on the road to establish a career". The district Fatherland Front with the model "Great Unity Flower Street"; "Protecting aquatic resources" in the area. The district Women's Union with the model "Bright spot in border areas", "5 no, 3 clean", "Women help each other develop the economy". The Farmers' Association with the model "Rows of trees in memory of Uncle Ho", competing in good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich legitimately (in the period 2016-2020, there were 431 households that produced and did good business). The district Labor Federation with the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", "Good at public work, good at housework"...

Notably, the implementation of Directive No. 05 in conjunction with the implementation of democratic regulations and administrative reform has achieved progressive results, with 100% of district-level agencies establishing a Committee to implement grassroots democratic regulations. 17/17 People's Committees of communes, towns and the District People's Committee Office have implemented the "One-door" mechanism, and the reform of administrative procedures has gradually changed positively and more quickly, creating favorable conditions for agencies, businesses and people to carry out administrative procedures, gradually limiting harassment and inconvenience in handling work.

Many urgent and prominent issues in the area such as compensation for hydropower site clearance, traffic safety corridor clearance, crime prevention and control work... were focused on and resolved, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, and consolidating the trust of the masses.

At the conference to review 5 years of implementing Directive 05, Secretary of Tuong Duong District Party Committee Nguyen Van Hai requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, cadres and Party members to continue to develop specific and practical action programs in studying and following Uncle Ho. Innovate propaganda work to highlight creative ways of doing things, typical collectives and individuals in implementing the Directive to create a widespread influence in the political system.
