The match between Vinh City Youth Team and Que Phong District Youth Team was the first match in the youth age group of the team.The 24th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Tournament 2022. Both of these teams are in Group A. This group also has the presence of two youth teams from Quynh Luu district and Hung Nguyen district.

In the history of the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament, the Vinh City Youth Team is a “giant” on the gold medal list, taking up nearly half of the championship trophies of the tournament. However, in recent years, the team’s performance has declined somewhat. The Vinh City Youth Team’s most recent championship was in 2014.

After many years of participation, the Que Phong District Youth Team has gradually achieved impressive results at the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children Football Tournament. The achievements of the Que Phong District Youth Team in recent years include winning bronze medals in 2017 and 2019.

Entering the match, the two youth teams of Vinh City and Que Phong District entered the game quickly, continuously organizing many dangerous attacks towards the opponent's goal. In the 5th minute of the match, striker Nguyen Manh Phu of the Vinh City youth team entered the penalty area and shot dangerously. However, the goalkeeper of the Que Phong District youth team reacted promptly, saving the home team.

However, the Vinh City Youth Team did not have to wait long. Two minutes later, the Vinh City Youth Team opened the scoring thanks to player number 12 Nguyen Nam Son. This player dribbled the ball from the right wing into the penalty area and scored a tricky shot into the net of the Que Phong District Youth Team.

The Que Phong District Youth Team also quickly returned the favor. In the 10th minute of the match, striker Lu Hoang Viet of the Que Phong District Youth Team, wearing the number 7 shirt, escaped down to receive a favorable pass from his teammate, skillfully finished, and scored the equalizer for the home team.

Defender wearing the number 6 jersey of the Que Phong District Youth Team, Tran Dinh Huy, committed a foul while blocking the opponent's striker and was given a red card. On the penalty spot, midfielder wearing the number 17 jersey Pham Duc Anh of the Vinh City Youth Team easily raised the score to 2-1.

Entering the second half, the Que Phong District Youth Team played very tenaciously, organizing a tight defense to protect their team's goal. Goalkeeper Lo Hung Thinh of the Que Phong District Youth Team played very well, repeatedly blocking dangerous shots from the opposing team.

However, facing the fierce attack of Vinh City Youth Team, in the situation of lacking people, Que Phong District Youth Team could not hold out for long. In the 33rd, 35th, and 37th minutes of the match, Vinh City Youth Team scored 3 consecutive goals by player number 17 Pham Duc Anh, player number 13 Le Duy An, and player number 14 Nguyen Manh Phu.
