Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi elected Chairman of Nghe An Province Veterans Association
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 14, the 7th Congress of the Veterans Association of Nghe An province, term 2022 - 2027 continued to work. Attending the working session on behalf of Nghe An province was comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
During the working session this afternoon, the Congress heard a report on the results of the first conference of the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Veterans Association, term VII.

Accordingly, the Conference elected the Standing Committee of the 7th term consisting of 7 comrades; elected comrade Nguyen Sy Hoi as Chairman of the Veterans Association of Nghe An province for the 2022 - 2027 term.
Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi was formerly Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, a National Assembly delegate of the 13th and 14th terms, belonging to the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province.
The conference elected comrades Doan Ngoc Son and Nguyen Duy Can as Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Veterans Association for the 2022-2027 term; elected an Inspection Committee of 5 comrades, comrade Doan Ngoc Son - Vice Chairman of the Association was elected to hold the position of Head of the Inspection Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association for the 7th term.

The Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association, term VII, 2022 - 2027, consisting of 30 comrades, was introduced to the Congress. On behalf of the new Executive Committee, in his acceptance speech, Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi respectfully thanked the delegates for their trust and confidence in attending the Congress.
Affirming that this is a great honor but also a heavy responsibility, the new President of the Nghe An Province Veterans Association promised that the new Executive Committee will strive to continuously study and practice, improve the capacity and experience of the association's work, and actively contribute to the leadership and direction of the organization to successfully implement the Congress Resolution.

Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi also hopes to continue receiving the attention, leadership, direction, coordination and facilitation of the leaders of the Association, Nghe An province, agencies, departments, branches, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, Party committees and authorities at all levels. The agencies and units will work together with all cadres and members so that the Provincial Veterans Association can always excellently complete all assigned tasks, contributing to building the province to become more and more civilized and prosperous.

Also during the working session, the Congress elected 12 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 7th National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans Association, term 2022 - 2027. Thus, the delegation of the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association has 13 delegates, including 1 ex-officio delegate and 12 official delegates who will attend the 7th National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans Association.
The Congress also concluded the discussion on contributions to the Political Report of the Central Executive Committee of the Association and amendments and supplements to the Association's Charter for the 6th term.

On this occasion, 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Association's tasks in the period of 2017 - 2022 were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; 2 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Provincial Veterans Association.

207 delegates attending the Congress also voted to pass the Resolution of the 7th Congress of Delegates of the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association, term 2022 - 2027.
Late afternoon of October 14, after 1.5 working days, the 7th Congress of Delegates of the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association, term 2022-2027, completed the entire proposed program and proceeded to summarize and close.

The Resolution sets out five main targets including:
1. 90 - 95% of cadres and members are fully informed and study the Resolutions and Directives of the Party; of the Party Committees and Association organizations at all levels. Strive to have 100% of members be steadfast and firm in politics and ideology. Every year, each grassroots Association organization or higher builds 1 - 2 truly outstanding models and typical examples of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style".
2. Develop over 98% of qualified and qualified subjects to join the Association; 100% of Association officials are trained and fostered according to decentralization. Over 75% of veterans present in the locality participate in activities in Clubs and Veterans Liaison Committees at the grassroots level.
3. Every year, over 90% of the Association's organizations; over 80% of its cadres and members complete their tasks well, of which 20% complete them excellently; over 80% are "Exemplary Members". No cadres or members violate the law and regulations and are subject to serious disciplinary action.
4. Reduce the rate of poor veteran households by 1.0% -1.5% each year (For poor districts and poor communes, the rate will be reduced by 4.0% per year according to the multidimensional poverty standard). Strive to reduce the number of existing temporary houses by 40%.
5. Strive for 100% of members of working age and in good health to receive advice, guidance, assistance, or vocational training referrals to have the opportunity to find employment.
