On the afternoon of June 2, Team 3, Environmental Crime Prevention Police Department (PC49) of Ho Chi Minh City Police discovered and handled a facility specializing in producing fake food in Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the investigation agency, this is the second time this facility has been discovered for producing fake food. At the time of the inspection, detectives of PC49 discovered the production facility located on Road 3, Hiep Binh Chanh Ward, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City, owned by Ms. Luong Thi Thu Thuy. At the time of discovery, Ms. Thuy and a group of workers were dipping more than 1 ton of pork in blood to create a bright red color. The police agency seized the meat along with 120kg of ostrich meat, venison and beef that were faked from pork and packaged in very sophisticated packaging to prepare for release to the market. The investigation agency said that at the end of March, the facility was fined 5 million VND for producing fake food but still re-offended. The case is being further investigated by the authorities./.
