From the bicycle repair profession, Mr. Le Van Thoa rose to become a boss, manufacturing a series of machines, such as: Mobile hole boring machine which has been patented by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Next are stone lathes, hammer forging machines, wire stone cutting machines... serving most of the stone mining establishments in the area, along with many machinery manufacturing establishments inside and outside the province. However, with his inquisitive and creative nature, he wanted to make an airplane. Talking about this unique idea, Mr. Le Van Thoa said: After watching a clip of an 80-year-old man abroad successfully making his own airplane on the internet, I thought why not give it a try. So I started working on it.

After studying documents on aerodynamics and referring to cases where people had successfully built helicopters, he started to do it. He drew the shape, bent the iron and cut the corrugated iron to form the aircraft frame (In the photo: Mr. Thoa's son happily sits in the cabin of the helicopter that his father is currently building)

According to Mr. Thoa, up to now, after spending nearly 100 million VND, the plane has been completed 70% with a weight of 200 kg and has been tested. Currently, some more details need to be added to be able to... take off. For him, the desire to create a plane that can fly is not only to satisfy his own passion, but also to educate his children and grandchildren to constantly learn and be creative...
