The poetic beauty of Quynh Beach

(Baonghean)Quynh Beach is not actually the name of a single beach, but rather a collective term referring to seven adjacent beaches in seven communes of Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province. These beaches, named Quynh Phuong, Quynh Lien, Quynh Bang, Quynh Luong, Quynh Minh, Quynh Nghia, and Tien Thuy, are located 230 km from Hanoi. Traveling along National Highway 1A, it only takes 5-6 hours to reach the vast, wave-swept Quynh Beach area.

The first beach you'll visit if traveling from Hanoi is Quynh Phuong. It boasts a relatively flat, long stretch of sand, a landscape that combines mountains, rivers, and streams, along with a complex of eco-tourism and spiritual sites. Quynh Phuong is famous for the unique Cờn Temple Festival of the local fishermen, one of the four famous temples of Nghe An mentioned in folk songs: "First Cờn, second Quả, third Bạch Mã, fourth Chiêu Trưng." In Quynh Phuong, don't miss the Quyết Tiến rock formation, about one kilometer long, a natural wonder created by giant rocks stacked on top of each other in various shapes. Additionally, there are giant footprints imprinted on the highest rock and crystal-clear "wells" hidden among the layers of rock. Further afield, you can also explore mountain ranges right next to the sea, named after animals based on their shapes, such as Quy Linh Mountain (meaning "where the turtle bows") in Quynh Luong commune, or Dau Rong Mountain in Quynh Nghia commune.

If you visit Quynh Nghia, look for the beachfront eateries, perfect for budget travelers looking for something tasty, nutritious, and inexpensive. If you're traveling in a group, you can bring tents to set up camp and have a bonfire. The best option for a beach bonfire is Quynh Minh. You can sing and have fun around the fire without disturbing anyone, as it's unspoiled and has few services, ideal for those who love exploration. However, be sure to ask for assistance from the local authorities beforehand to ensure a safe and enjoyable bonfire night.
