Turkish authorities suspect the two men were involved in the nightclub shooting early on January 1 that left 39 people dead. The Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility. The gunman is said to have changed clothes and fled.
Turkish media published a video of what they said was the gunman at an unknown location and time, in which he is seen handing documents to an official behind a glass door. Police sources said he could be Uzbek or Kyrgyz.
Ankara announced yesterday that it had detained eight people. The number rose to 14 after raids in the Anatolian city of Konya, but the gunman has still not been caught.
