Türkiye adds German companies to terror-supporting list
(Baonghean.vn)- On July 19, Germany's Die Zeit newspaper reported that Türkiye has added German auto manufacturing corporation Daimler and chemical company BASF to the list of individuals and organizations suspected of supporting terrorism.
The companies are accused of supporting US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen, who Türkiye blames for last July's failed coup. The list, which has been sent to German authorities, currently includes 68 individuals and organisations, Die Zeit reported.

Previously, on July 18, Germany summoned the Turkish Ambassador to protest Ankara's arrest of six human rights activists, including a German, on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization.
Over the past year, relations between Germany and Türkiye have been in a state of turmoil over the Kurdish issue, the referendum on constitutional amendments in Türkiye, the arrest of German journalists on charges of spreading terrorist propaganda, and the prevention of German parliamentarians from visiting German soldiers at the NATO air base in Turkey's Incirlik province./.
