Türkiye: European financial aid for Ukraine too costly
Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan called European financial aid to Ukraine extremely costly and expensive.
According to RIA Novosti on October 5, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told TRT Haber TV channel that Europe's financial aid budget for Ukraine is "extremely expensive".
"Finance is allocated not only for the war, but also for the Ukrainian government, it is allocated serious sums and funds. In fact, this is a long topic, an extremely expensive process" - said Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The conflict has a negative impact on global energy and trade balances, Mr. Fidan added.
According to the Turkish Foreign Minister, European governments are forced to adjust their budgets because of the US's demand to increase defense spending for NATO member countries, because Washington had previously provided Europe with a "security umbrella".
Mr. Fidan noted that European authorities use the Ukraine factor, as well as cases of airspace violations as reasons to explain to voters changes in the budget, especially with increased defense spending.
Commenting on Russia's frozen assets in Europe, Foreign Minister Fidan noted that some countries objected to the transfer of funds to Ukraine, a disagreement that continues to this day.
"If European countries use this money, that is, in effect, confiscate it, then all principles and laws related to free trade, financial transparency and mobility will be trampled," Foreign Minister Fidan stressed.
Earlier, the media of a number of European countries reported the discovery of drones near airports. Such incidents were recorded in Denmark, Norway and Germany. In some cases, statements were made about the reports of such drones being Russian.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia - Dmitry Peskov commented on information about alleged violations of the airspace of other countries by Russia, calling these statements empty and baseless.
