The Turkish military said the first attack took place at dawn on May 1 (local time) with rockets targeting government soldiers in the town of Nusaybin, injuring 14 people.
Later, a car packed with explosives exploded outside Turkish police headquarters in Gaziantep province, killing one police officer and injuring several others.
Witnesses at the scene said the explosion could be heard several kilometers away, while windows in nearby buildings appeared to have been shattered.
Most Kurds in southeastern Türkiye have been affected by a wave of violence in clashes between government security forces and Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants since a ceasefire between the two sides collapsed in late 2015.
