"We have reached an agreement with Russia on preventing clashes between the Free Syrian Army (supported by Ankara) and the Syrian government forces, with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of the fight against IS and avoiding conflicts," Cavusoglu told journalists in Ankara.
At the same time, he denied media reports that there appeared to be a Russian-brokered deal under which several villages in the north controlled by Kurdish groups would be transferred to the Syrian government army.
"You know, there is a lot of information and all kinds of speculation. It is not true. Now we see that the Syrian government forces are moving east," Mr. Cavusoglu added.
